Clinical Application and Intended Use
The VenaSeal™ Closure System is designed for the permanent closure of
lower extremity superficial truncal veins, such as the great saphenous
vein (GSV), through endovascular embolization with coaptation. It is
indicated for use in adult patients presenting with clinically significant
symptomatic venous reflux, confirmed by duplex ultrasound (DUS) evaluation.
This system offers a minimally invasive alternative for the management
of chronic venous insufficiency, aiming to reduce symptoms,
improve venous hemodynamics, and enhance patient quality of
life. Appropriate patient selection and comprehensive pre-procedural
assessment are essential to optimize clinical outcomes while ensuring
procedural safety in vascular and interventional practices.
